Nav intelligent update
Unfortunately the present downloadable version of NAV requires over 36MB of definitions to bring it up to the present and I am restricted to dial-up at Home. I came across this past thread which suggests that Live Update is not compatible with using the Intelligent Updater;.
Updating the present downloadable version of NAV would be a great help to those of us still on a slow connection. The Intelligent Updater will only download and install the Virus Definitions which are extremely needed to protect your computer.
I think, this is the reason why Norton program reported that you still need to download updates. So are we still down or is Live Update working now?
Can anyone advise? Would greatly appreciate it. Back to top. Blackcat Contributor 4. Reg: Nov Kudos 0. Reg: Nov Kudos 0. However, I sent the sample file to Symantec and they reported back that they had determined that it did contain a Trojan ' settings. They instructed me to download and install symrapidreleasedefsi On double clicking on the file, the installation started with a box 'SARC Intelligent updater' 'do you want to update your virus definition files', clicking yes on that, some file extraction took place but then the install aborted with a message starting 'No updateable Norton Antivirus product was found' Does NAV not accept intelligent update files?
