Marshall 15 cdr manual

And I can play from the amp if when plugged into the ELO. The led for overdrive work. Let me know what other info you need to diagnose. I thought this might be good for me to get practice just wondering if I should trash it.

Peace and love, Evan. Eroberts , Jun 4, Theres only one transformer in that amp, which is for the mains power, and if that did not work, the led's wouldn't light up. The clean sound is pretty tout. Overdrive is cool even if the distortion is cold enough, it tends to drool a bit on the sharp but everything is pretty convincing malger a slight lack of bass I essaier many amp before deciding me and I longtemp hsiter with 15 watt roland cube but I prefer sound marshall!

I buy into the rock marshall pack kit has Andore and I'm not unhappy with my purchase!! I would do this choice again for a second!! I have used it with bc rich warlock bronze series and from time to time with a pedal boss md2 -the clean sounds are not bad but I do not use them often. My previous Marshall amp had been stolen. It's small and portable.

The reverb function is useful. My previous amp had also been a Marshall 15W I remember it was called a "VT15", though I've since searched for the name and never found it , and it had sounded good whether it's just clean or with the Drive controls up.

I was able to get a substantial amount of crunch by just turning it up, and my favourite way to use it became just natural distortion, especially for rhythm work. This MG15 doesn't even come close. It sounds "artificial", somewhat dead, without the dynamics and complexity of the previous amp. I'm pretty sure th…. Typical Marshall quality -- build quality is not the problem here. I suppose the double whammy of "solid-state technology" and the watt output just means that this is not a good-sounding amp. I love Marshall amps, but this ain't a winner. If you're gonna get an amp, get a better one the AVT series looks far more promising. I've had this MG15CDR replacement for about six months and only played it maybe 10 times -- its poor sound just doesn't cut it.

I'd rather deal with an extra cable and headphones and plug into my Line 6 Pod instead. I bought it at Planet Music for sk,that's a little less than 90bucks at today's exchange rate.

It was a special offer or something. It was my first amp,in fact I wanted to buy a cheap Ibanez just for practice, but when I played this baby,I knew why Marshall is a legend. Fantastic sound, clear sound. Good sounding reverb. The overdrive isn't exactly what I need but you can never satisfy everyone. It doesn't sound crappy at all,it just isn't my style. More like some blues or rythm metal at extreme settings. It has a nice look.

And it's LOUD dammit, you just need a preamp,or any kind'a effects pedal and this baby rocks. It's loud enough to play with drums. The 30watt Marshall is surely big enough for …. The 30watt Marshall is surely big enough for rehearsals, this one is almost that powerful. But anyways,my neighbours hate me. Previous Page. Next Page.

Page 2 FDD Frequency Dependant Damping — a radical new feature that is exclusive to Marshall Amplification and accurately mimics the way an all-valve amplifier interacts with a loudspeaker. Low frequency oscillation is usually a symptom of a bad decoupling capacitor between stages. There could be a bad solder point or colder solder point or a cap got disconnected or a broken cap lead or trace.

I would open it up and do a visual inspection of the circuit board. Keep the amp unplugged while you do this. Comment Post Cancel. Turn the reverb up midway. Now give the amp a bump to crash the reverb springs. Does that reverb crash come out the speaker loud? If so, the power amp works. The CD player input is at the same point in the circuit as the reverb, so you could plug in there and see if the powr amp works.

Power supply could easily be an issue. See if that is present.
